I was thinking the opposite happened in my head.. I also discovered that the firing order in HP tuners doesn't work with regards to the Coyote engine. I believe it's on Eric's to-do list. The coyote...
Explained that way it makes sense to me. Thanks. I just couldn't wrap my head around it. So basically it will still sound the same as a f150 when complete.
I love being told I have no clue. So ... Master tech. Maybe you can explain why I'm wrong here.
Mustang firing order is
1548
6372
F150 firing order is
1372
You guys are wrong. You can change it. My car is living proof This is due to the crank have the same characteristics as the mustang crank. As an example you can not change the firing order on a...
It has been accomplished many time before me. I started this thread 9 months ago when I was building the car. F150 motors were cheap. I paid $2100 for a complete engine with harness and ecu that gad...
Put a time in the video where he states that please.
20:00 - "We are adjusting the wires to make sure you have the same firing order as a mustang. Changing to a mustang firing order is in the...
No. The point of the thread is that people say you ahve to physically chanage cams to run the mustang firing order. You do not. You can run the F150 cams and run the mustang firing order. This...
"unless you change the wiring"? I already stated that you have to change some wiring in previous posts. Shit ton of wiring? I already changed my wiring. Maybe you could let everyone how many wires...
Here is the video. You can see in the vidfeo he states the car firing order can be changed to the mustang firing order while retaining the stock F150 cams. Because I get so any people disagreeing...
We established that a while ago.
You don't have to reply to this thread. Go back to your distributors and pushrod engines. . Do you even own car with a coyote engine? Is this topic relevant to you?
I will still post the video...
As I said, I will post the video here when its up on youtube. Should be up tomorrow
Hey, I get what your saying and that was my argument also. I still don't quite understand why it works, but it does. Valve timing is the most complicated part of an engine, especially with out 4V...
Sorry man. You don't know coyotes very well, but we all have to learn. I'm still learning myself. I'm not trying to be rude or a smart ass. Your thinking is old school. I had a hard time wrapping...
You have opened HP tuners right? There is an area where you can change the firing order. You don't need to change the cams. This isn't the old carburetor days.

I'm curious how everything goes. I have am coming to the end of the same project but it ina fox. 16 gen 2 F150 engine with twin 6266's.
I assume the airflow goes through the straight, though the MAF, then past the BOV to the TB. That should be enough straight section for a decent reading. Just a heads up, but you will have to change...
Just have to watch the MAF isn't located just after a bend in the tubing. It can be hell to tune from my understanding
in a straight section of pipe?
email eric books he can help with that
steeda.ca in Canada or Palm Beach dyno in Florida are your best best unless you deal with someone on here.
lol no, that's corvette/GM stuff your talking about. That is a return style system but Ford's are set up differently.
Coyotes are all returnless systems. They only have one fuel line to the engine. There is no return line back to the tank. Fuel pressure is regulated through the FPDM (Fuel Pump Driver Module), which...
Awesome. Post video!!!!
