  1. that's what I thought but his use of parenthesis...

that's what I thought but his use of parenthesis confused me. Well most Ford autos can't lock the TCC in 1st gear and 2nd gear can be iffy. That explains why 3rd and above work better. But again that...

Is that turbine speed multiplied by input shaft speed in your above formula?

Cool vids, seems like normal shifting to me. That's how my SHO shifted from the factory. But not how the newer 6F55s shift straight from the factory. I'll get a chance to tweak it some more tomorrow....

I'm out of town so I can't post the stock tune. But everything I've read and heard indicates that the clutch fill times aren't what you really want to command, but rather the actual/approximate fill...

I wanted that type of shifting. It's not short shifting as it is finally doing it at the RPM I want. It's the 2-3 hang and bang into the limiter that I am trying to eliminate.
  7. I've done that and it works fine for the higher...

I've done that and it works fine for the higher gears where the rev up isn't as fast. I'm not sure if the TCC is locking up as quickly for 2nd gear since the gear ratio is fairly tall.

Well the SHO just needed a bit more pressure and that was it. WOT tables alone controlled the shift points.

I can see the over Rev from 1 to 2 because there is no TCC lockup. But 2 to 3 should...

In my 2014 SHO, I never touched the OSS shift schedule and adjusted the WOT tables with success. On the newer vehicles, even ones with the same trans and ECU, how would you define correctly adjusting...
  10. 6R80 6F55 - Over-revving / commanded shift points??

Anyone else with a 6R80 or 6F55 from a 2015-up notice that the WOT tables don't really do anything? For example, in the two WOT tables, I have the 1-2 and 2-3 set for 6250 RPM. I adjust the Base /...

It seems the guides I attached in the first post of this thread are still active. Did you try downloading them? Note that if you don't have a SHO, they are really directly applicable to pre-15...

I'll see if I can repost them. They need to be updated for 2015-up and I was working on one for the 2.7 EB

I've never had a problem completing them in the past. Something seems to have changed with how HPTuners handles the tune files, because now it won't ever complete the tests.

I don't have VCM Editor in front of me, but it should be under Transmission -> General

There is a table that has shift indicators for the different modes. You set them to 1 to enable or 0 to...
  16. Emissions testing incomplete - OBD2 Tests - CEL/MIL flashing

I noticed that my tunes from after June or July of this year would cause the OBD2 tests to never complete, specifically for the O2 sensor, catalyst, and other monitors. This causes the CEL/MIL to...

I just changed base stoich on E39A and it runs fine with E0 to E40, no codes or problems. EcoBoost uses wideband and speed density, has predictive flex fuel using O2 on flex fuel models, but...

PS flex fuel is different from running an Ethanol blend. While it would be nice to have on the E39A, I think my method is working out well. I've been on a cross country road trip with the base stoich...
  20. I think they may have gone to wideband on E39A...

I think they may have gone to wideband on E39A for 2016 or later, not sure. But if they are wideband you can pretty much go to E50 without changing anything at least on EcoBoost and LNF.
  21. Dunno about your Envision but the narrowband e39A...

Dunno about your Envision but the narrowband e39A needs the E0 stoich changed in the table otherwise it sets off P0171 with E30. GM didn't even tune it for E10 mandated in most states, where Ford...

Not full E85 but a good mix of it. The proper way in LNF is to adjust injector offset to keep the LTFT close to 0. on my Cobalt SS, I kept injector offset stock and ran up to E30. On my EcoBoosts, I...
  23. Check your primary O2 sensor. If you have more...

Check your primary O2 sensor. If you have more than 4 pins, it is a wideband and you can basically run E30 to E40 without messing with a sensor. My LNF and all of my Ford's with wideband a can do it....
  24. For the E85 mixing project I had ended up setting...

For the E85 mixing project I had ended up setting the base stoich to 12.97 to cover E30 and based on my math, should allow LTFT to cover an even wider spreader. From something like E47 down to...

I gave it a try on the LNF and it sounds awesome at first but after awhile it got boring. I'm all about power and MPGs now so shutting of DFCO wasn't doing it any good.
