So if the OS is different, GM dealer can change thhe OS?

So the trans is shot in the 2011 Caprice. I can get a deal on a 2010 Camaro 6L80E. Can I Write the Caprice file to the Camaro trans w/HPTuners or does this require a trip to the GM dealer?

Problem solved- my bad, there are 2 different PID s for "trans temp" the PID in the engine controller stays at 32, the PID under TCM shows actual trans temp.

That would be good to know. I don't have a dashboard indicator. I assumed the 32 degrees temp was the reason for 'Fasy Learn" and "Clean" procedure being disabled in the respective pids
