Ive cahnged the dynamic re enable to 7900, I'll work on smoothing the VE table a little. I cant find the base running airflow table, I see under Idle > Airflow > "Airflow final minimum". Is that the...
I have an 05 GTO A4 with the following mods, Long tube headers (no cats, stock piping to straight through mufflers), over the rad intake, no MAF, SD tune, ported throttle body and intake manifold....
Try playing around with these settings. If you set them all to disabled it should use the normal shift tables for shifting (under transmission diagnostics).
Also if you havent already, use the...
Thanks. So all of the credits have to be moved to the new MPVI then?
I own an MPVI1 interface with 4 vehicles licensed. If I upgrade to the MPVI2, can I have 3 out of those 4 licenses moved to the MPVI2 and leave the one license on the MPVI1 interface? See example...
Agreed. Serial wideband is the way to go. No messing around with voltage offset issues or grounding issues. Just plug it in and go.
Yep, it supports the LC1 and LC2 and a few other serial widebands. You do have to use a serial to USB adapter in to your laptop unless your laptop has a native serial port. However its trivial to use...
I was saying, instead of using an analog input on the HPT interface for the wideband why dont you use the serial output on the LM2 to log the wideband in scanner? (dont use the analog output on the...
TO to free up an analog input, can you use the serial output from the LM2? I have an LC2 and I use only the serial output on that just to avoid any ground offset issues.
What car and ECM/TCM is this in?
I too enjoy a little bit of TM because it keeps me from spinning too much on the 1-2nd shift in my 05 GTO with the 4l60.
Awesome thanks for the info guys.
I set the MAF table to 0 and did some runs and it appears that its in SD mode. Also MAF state is "failed" on the scanner.
Is it normal for the airflow mode...
Quick question here. I am tuning my 05 GTO with the E40 ECU. I have the errors for P0101,102, and 103 set to MIL on first error and SES unchecked.
For the ECU to properly fail in to SD only mode...
Any cable under 5 Meters (16.4ft) will work.

I use a a 1ft USB A to B cable and then a 3ft USB A to A extension cable along with a hub and it all works...
Yeah I get that about the redundant sensors, but why couldnt have GM labeled them better? Or is that up to HPTuners to correctly identify and label? Because literally all of those "throttle position"...
This is on a 05 GTO LS2, E40 ECM. Which throttle position reading does the ECM/TCM use for things like automatic transmission shifting. Because Ive logged all of those and they all give different...
Thats a good idea on using a headrest mount! And yeah, stupid links broke when i copy and pasted. That is the mount that I bought. So far im still happy with it.
Sorry to go off topic here, but did you say you have a LY6 and a 6L90 in a KIA SORENTO?! Do you have any pictures or information on this swap?
Contact HPTuners support. They have a way to lock down the interface with the next software update.
I wanted to start a thread to see how other people are using HPT when they scan and tune their car. Below is my setup.
Surface Pro 4
HPtuners Standard
Innovate LC-2 Wideband (currently in stock...
You can connect the LC-2 via USB to verify that you have the analog output voltages and offsets and formulas correct. Which wire did you connect the gauge to?
The 05 Vettes have the E40, same as the 05-06 GTOs. They obviously have different fueling systems but on my GTO I do not have a fuel pressure sensor anywhere. I do have the fuel tank pressure, but...
What part of the country are you in? That is lower ethanol than I was expecting for regular pump gas. Most places around me have a sticker that says "maximum 10% ethanol".
This is the best you are going to get, to my knowledge they dont make a change log when updating minor versions like say from 3.6.15 to 3.6.20. I too would like to see a change log for the minor...
Using USB is much easier than messing around with the analog inputs...
