Yes, if you can find one, or another solution for datalogging. As you mentioned reading and writing works great, it's just the datalogging that won't work

Can't use MPVI2. Search for EEC V and VCM scanner thread. It's been a known issue for a couple of years now unfortunately.
Forscan uses an ELM 327 for the OBD2 port. I am not a fan of SCT either, and forscan is not much better for logging, its more for diagnostics and changing PCM settings in newer vehicles, it is just a...
Lots of guys including myself have used Forscan for logging, free program and adapters are cheap. Its not great but it works. I'd hit up http://www.efidynotuning.com/, learned a lot there and look...
It's been a known issue for over a year now with no fix. I don't know that there will be one to be honest. You can read and write the files fine but datalogging is a no go. You have to find some...
I don't believe so, I was going to use this on my 07 4.6 ST as well and it didn't work.
Search for the EEC-V thread. Scanning not supported right now for the issues you described. There was a fix but they had to pull it cause it was still causing issues. No idea when it will be fixed
Scanning doesn't work currently with EEC-V and HP Tuners. I would just follow what Decipha said above.
I am not sure what strategy mine is, but I have a 2002 GT with similar issues as well. If I shift into neutral and coast, the car will tend to die. I have idling issues as well for various reasons. I...
Get FORScan... its free (the premium version is 30 worst case) and an obd dongle... its basically what the dealerships use, and you can reprogram/disable PATS with that among many other functions.
Honestly, not sure. I had an x4 with the car so I still use that with LiveWire and the wideband generally. I just happened to have FORScan pulled up and realized it can datalog, so I tried it without...
I don't think there is a fix yet- they will likely make an announcement on Facebook or somewhere when they release the fix.
I've come across another alternative to logging. If you don't have or...
What are the odds we can get a refund then? If the car isn't supported how come we were able to buy credits for it???? If they are saying it isn't a supported platform, despite the website of...
I'm in the same exact boat. I am new to tuning, I have an SCT handheld, but I ultimately went with HPT because everyone said that the software was the cleanest and the support behind it with forums...
Hello,
Does the MVPI2 work with FORScan or will I need a separate OBD2 plug to work with it?
I'm not sure about the older MVPI, because I got the MVPI2 like 2 months ago under the same impression, that the 99-04 Mustang 2vs were supported (I have an 02 as well). I also saw the Facebook post...
Awesome, thanks!
That sounds like a sweet project!
Putting the power aside for a moment, I'm more concerned on just how to tune these things. What forums/webpages should I look at? I understand the general concept, but the specific Ford labels (like...
I have the same issues, 2002 Mustang GT. I tried logging as few PID's as possible and downloaded the beta version of the software, but it doesn't help. I thought they had taking care of it with an...
You also have a 5.4 swapped mustang?
So here is more backstory and the file of the tune I got on this swap (sorry for the long post):
Its a 5.4 2v motor out of an 2002 F150. Still using the GT computer which is why I am able to tune...
Hey everyone!
Very new to car tuning, just got my MPVI2 the other day. I've been watching and reading a lot of videos and forums etc. but still feel very lost. To make a long story short, I'm...
