I've been searching around a bunch and haven't quite found the answer.....
Can HpTuners link to its scanner? Such as the way EFI Live does it? I'm wanting to open a tune and corresponding log and...
Well, I think the data you are after must be over the sci protocol. I think HpTuners is the only one capable of accessing and displaying that data. I'm guessing its proprietary. Did you send a...
I think on the early trucks you need to complete the wiring circuit.
There is an early post on here about this and I can't remember where he found the wiring. I believe it can be under the dash...
Great news. In the end lessons were learned, I think we're all here to learn. Those of us that don't know everything really appreciate everyone sharing here. Before wisdom comes trial and error,...
Great info, thank you for sharing
You can use the smarty udc calculator in conjunction with the timing calculator here. I used the udc calculator to back calc what the whole stock timing map is in percentages, then go from there.
...
Thank you very much, no rush.
Not 100% on your question though. So the arduino is a node on the canbus and I'm constantly linearly interpolating vein position based on RPM. So always...
Thanks again for the tips and help. Great info about the pressure and pw down low. I had really good results mid/high end with egts and cutting pw for my towing tune. I'm using the 04.5+ fuel...
Thanks for the tips. Injectors are 60 HP that's why I was cutting pw.
I've continued to play with the boost limiter, seems like that and the pw is the best way to reduce my smoke off line and...
Anyone know of where to maybe start for fixing idle droop on a manual?
I have an 03 that will actually stall sometimes after coming off the exhaust brake.
Normal operation it droops to...
I do see pilot qty but no timing or correction.
I have and I still don't have any pilot info coming through, I can only select it, just don't see any data.
What year is yours? I don't think it works on the 03 early 04's. My 03 doesn't anyway.
Good info, thanks.
I was looking at tuning my buddies 06 with an edge. I originally bought a smarty so my 03 doesn't have one yet. We live in the mountains and drive over high elevation passes...
Does this mean you are using 50% in your timing calculator at the mid/top end using your 'stock' pulsewidth and 'stock' fuel pressure maps? Or are you guessing at fuel for say level 3 (being ~50%)...
That's awesome, I was wondering how an edge would work in conjunction with hpt. Congrats and thanks for sharing. I'm always in need of switching between towing and performance, glad to know it can...
I'm not sure which ecm you have, but on my 845 I think it's this table? I hit that as well and assumed it was this table (7580).

Ok, thanks.
I actually tried just trimming the top of the table at one point and that didn't go over well either. The maps are different sizes between 03 and 04.5+, so the trimming and...
Thanks for the input, very much appreciated.
First thing I tried to do was 'convert' over to rail, timing, pilot, adders and coefficients of the 04.5+ tune. That didn't work at all. So I've...
I have an 03 ECM and 06 engine (dragonflys, intake, exhaust). Truck has run pretty well but has some haze due to the fundamental differences so I bought HpTuners to try and dial it in and learn more...
I can't seem to get the balance information to come through on the 03 computer. Does anyone know if its supported on the early computers?
Ok, thanks. This latest log I posted is as low as it gets around here! So that must be associated with the baro adders/coefficents. Do you think its pulling timing? or adding?
Well after logging a completely stock tune this morning, I see the misfire in there as well, similar conditions, so I guess I will ignore it and keep moving forward unless anyone has some input on it.
How about a misfire for a timing correction?
Seems to happen with almost no throttle and in some cases decel down hill. It will say this with zero fuel commanded.
Thanks
