Same here .
I had this problem today , avast updated a little while ago and seems to be all good now.
There is a table in "Engine Diagnostics/General/Firing Order" , but from memory it's just displaying it and cant be changed .
It could be (and i am just guessing) that 2.22 isn't able to support some of the newer definition/operating systems that have been done for 2.23 & 2.24.
If you open the scanner or editor , then go to help then select about it should have the version there .
The start-up screen just shows 2.x and not the specific version .
I was wondering if there is access to the Cranking Spark table in the Holden ls1 PCM's (operating system 12225074)
The tuner could do it fairly easily .
A sticker on the outside of the PCM with the details on it would do the trick.
Thanks Russ K , that's the information i was after :D
Thanks Russ , yes my car is an A4 (4L60-e).
Does any one have any information or can point me in the right direction on the 3.8 V6 used in the Chevrolet Camaro . sensors it uses & reluctor and perhaps an engine harness + PCM wiring digram .
I was wondering how simular or otherwise the 3.8 ECOTEC used in the Australian VT-VY Commodores is to the 3.8 V6 used in the Chevrolet Camaro and if anyone thought it would be possible to control...
Seeing what it's doing when the rpm is misbehaving would be interesting .
I haven't really played around with cammed cars (and i am not a professional tuner), i just gave someone a hand with their...
Do you have a log showing what it's doing ?
The mass airflow pid and oil pressure PID's aren't needed and perhaps log the wideband data (if it's hooked up) and Coolant advance .
I also...
It's been cooler over the last two days so could be the intake temps being lower have had an affect .
The horse probably bolted before they could breathalyse it .
I know this is probably knit picking but in the Dynamic Converter when you choose AFR or Lambda the second window only has the option to choose the same option as the first , so you can't convert Afr...
Chipmaster in Perth W.A can unlock it but he charges for the service . You could also contact JezzaB on the LS1.com.au forum , i think he can unlock PCM's (i think he's in Melbourne too) .
Check out your plug leads and plugs , perhaps fuel filter . If the tune or conditions haven't changed i would guess the car should be going the same . A quick look for air leaks on the intake side...
Ok , the 40* limit isn't in the main tables but an absolute limit on timing on some of our operating systems .
If you want above 40 deg of timing when running at afr's other than 14.62 you could try the spark correction AFR Correction table .
I have version 2.22.3043.17581 on both my laptop and desktop , the bug happens with XP on the desktop but isn't a problem with the Vista equipped laptop .
Oh ok :o , i have been looking for somewhere in your tune where 34 & 25deg of timing is commanded and the only place i can see it so far is in the idle spark tables
Wish i had more than just observations but it seems to be happening at 3600rpm (timing locked to 34deg and dive in injector pulse width) and with 88-85 kpa at WOT it looks like some part of the...
