Ok thanks.
Thanks, What about the transmission. He would like it to have a little more firm on shifts at WOT, and better throttle response.
Need some pointers on tuning my Dad's 2011 F150 5.0. I've tuned a couple of GMs and a few Ford 4.6 3v, including my own 08' mustang GT. I haven't had a chance to tune any newer 5.0. Any help is...
Are 2009 Ford F150's supported?
Email sent, Thanks
I wasn't able to tune this 2010 Mustang GT. I have the VCM Editor 2.23.3678.18933 Beta.
What about the Base Rate for Upshift for each gear in the automatic transmission? I believe this changes the shift firmness.
very nice info. Thanks
The Knock retard PID is not available on the Ford Scanner with HPT.
Which C&L CAI is on the car? The Street or Racer version. Each has a different size MAF housing. I have the MAF transfer function for the C&L Racer version.
Ok I found some tables called Base Rate for Upshift for each gear that seems to do the trick. The only thing is I don't think HP Tuners has these tables available, unless they are called something...
Will the 2010 Mustang GT be supported? I have a friend that wants to get it tuned.
I think he means the Ford 6.0 Diesel. Maybe?
What tables would need to be modified to have aggressive shifting on a 2005+ Mustang GT Automatic. A friend of mine has a diablo handheld and his shifting on his auto tranny is very firm with diablo...
What mods do you have in the vehicle? Any 1/4 mile et's?
Could you explain which ETC parameters those would be?
Look in the PID list under General/Engine and add it in the primary table. Cam Angle, Cam Angle error, Cam duty cycle, Cam 2 Angle, Cam 2 Angle error, they are all in there. What version of HP Tuners...
You can datalog Cam Angle, Cam Angle error, Cam duty cycle, Cam 2 Angle, Cam 2 Angle error. It's in the PID list:Engine/General.
Try these out, http://www.obd-codes.com/p0340 , and http://bradbarnett.net/mustangs/galaxie/tsb/tsb06_02_09_dtc_trouble_code.pdf and http://francesco.maxdsl.de/documents/MustangTSB/06-2-9.pdf
What tuning software are you using. HP Tuners currently only supports 2005+ Ford Mustang V8's
I helped tuned a friend's 09 Silverado 1500 5.3 with no problems using the Beta.
The knock sensor pid in degrees for the Ford vehicles does not work currenty with the HPT Scanner. It won't show any knock because it is not supported. On GM's it does
In the tables "Torue Reduction" under the Transmission/Torque Management, what would putting anything above 1.0 do in the Upshift and Downshift? Would it be to much for the stock tranny?
So what would be good numbers to use in these tables for the timing curve used above?
Thanks for the info. Its good that we have some tuning support for the HPT Fords.
