Look at map points used on the S197, and tune it like you would tune a GEN 1 Coyote
What type of supercharger? That makes a huge difference.
I usually run 14-16* on 91 octane and about 8 psi for these older 5.9s
You can also try by adding 15-20% to the cranking fuel table in the warm areas.
If you're desperate, run in open loop and lean out the idle areas you want more chop from. Or you can do it the right way and get a higher stall converter.
Post your stock tune and list of mods, and someone may help you.
The TCC button on the VCM scanner had me going for a little while. lol!! I definitely remember that one.
110% agreed. At a certain point, it costs you less to limit certain jobs. Call it cherry picking or whatever, but it keeps your sanity, time and money in check.
I'd absolutely try and do a 320 lph in-tank pump with a one way check valve and a Holley hydramat. That should easily build 60 psi in less than a second, and keep the pressure while cranking.
Post one of your tunes, with the mod list attached, and I am sure someone on here can be blunt and honest enough to tell you if you're ready or not. Regardless of how seasoned you are, something...
Use injector data from a C7 Z06 and edit the fuel pump axis to match the 14% lobe.
I see this more with LT trucks than LT cars for whatever reason. My first "go to" in fixing this issue is the DD table. If "massaging" the DD table doesn't cure the issue, I fix it with the VVE table...
If predicted is still kicking in, VTT and VVE still needs work
Is there a subscribe button on this thread? lol
Dave, we appreciate the great lengths that you have taken to provide the community with the innovation and development of your products. Great work...
If fuel trims are adding fuel to the point where the engine starts to misfire, then that may be an indication of your primary o2 sensors not reading correctly, or not reading at all. Verify your...
A lot of people don't understand this when I explain this same exact thing to them. Fuel control can also have a huge effect on high rpm power.
Not to mention the Philippines had them up until 2023 as well. But I'm also on the fence with VF tuner.
Post your tune and I'm sure I can make the changes to make that happen, or someone here may be able to do it for you
That's the biggest thing I also get. Transmission tuning for the FJ. As an owner of a 2014 FJ, I understand why people want their transmission tuned. The downshifts and lockup speeds are terrible in...
Hey guys, I have a really quick question.
My daughter's 2019 GMC Canyon with the 8L45 transmission recently had trans failure. I found an 8L45 out of a 2021 GMC Canyon I can get. My question to...
I've seen Ford MAP sensors in those Edelbrock SC kits for GM vehicles. Odd, but not truly wrong. Just a pain when it comes to scaling.
As stated above, if startup airflow is too high, it will indeed start heading in the wrong direction. As stated remove some startup airflow to a more reasonable amount, remove some cranking VE, and...
Ive seen this when TQ tables are set too high for that given map point
As edcmat-l1 stated, WOT fuel pressure is suspect. That would be the first thing I'd look into.
