Well.. Throw some higher octane in there and see if the knock dissapears. If it does then it's real knock.

Reduces knock? You should probably be tuning on the side of zero knock no?
Yeah I'll throw them up on a website, and do a little write up soon.
I've decided to modify the manifold to include another 90ci worth of plenum volume. On a dyno dynamics with a short ram intake, (battery in the trunk for the mod) I went from 194 WHP bone stock, to...
If you wanted to be even more lame, you could swap in 30-33% higher flowing injectors and not do crap! lol. ;)
I just wish we had E85 around here to start messing around with it : |
Can somone verify that this can be disabled?
I've modified my upper intake plenum to increase volume, making the Intake Manifold Tuning valve useless.
I've removed the flapper and left the actual module in place to cap off the manifold (so...
If you guys come up with something, I'd like to see how this was tuned as well, if you don't mind posting the final working proceedure.
I know it wont be the same as my DBW stuff but it might help.
The Maf doesn't care how many cylinders there is, the only difference was design parameters in mind. Knowing it was for a V8 it would flow more than a V6 so it was required to meter more volume...
No Eddie that's not true. A larger MAF will not read the same air at the same frequency...
That would be the same as saying 11000 Hz = say 30lbs/min on an ZR1 Maf, as it does on say the L36's MAF...
Well. Don't those things go to 55lb/min?
But the larger maf auto scales. because it allows more air to go through at a lower freqency
Well that and he is on a high compression hair dryer of a blower. I know I used to have one until I went turbo and couldnt even get the thing to knock on pump.
There have been a lot of people who sucessfully ran larger throttle bodies out there I feel. Maybe a nice chime in on how to calibrate a larger MAF for instance.
I know I'd like to get a ZR1 MAF...
I find it strange that they have provision for boost, yet other E67s cannot.
Thank you so much Brian. I am still waiting for my HPT to arrive, I'll provide the file as soon as possible!
E67 does not have the map upgrade option.
Nice! We installe the Vipec V88 in my friends supra!
Ok so theoretically my maf is dialed in and I have my VE vs KPA vs RPm table.
basic: So I have my table, and now my LTFTs are dialed in.
But then I throw a turbo on it.
What should I be...
Ahh ok, so this won't exactly be causing all of the crazy fuel trim vs MAF calibration threads that everyones chasing around? It seems like if anyone has any S/LTFTs around here people go crazy...
But if I tune for VE this way under boost, wont I have like crazy Fuel trims?
I guess I'm just confused now.
With this how should I tune for boost....
Thats understandable but. VE doesn't = injector duty specifically does it?
For instance. Lets say my vehicle is making 96% VE peak at say 6100 rpm, which is likely is.
With an intake, and a...
What is the typical limit?
Can it be increased over 100%? It's quite easy for even an NA bolt on vehicle to reach over 100% now and then.
