Same situation here, missed the expiration date by 1 month. I still think this sux since I paid $500 for one car and have upgraded my cable for 2 additional vehicles. Now with a total on 6 vehicles...

I set mine @ 165*, this seams to help with burst knock as well as makes it easier to tune with a wideband since you dont have to go WOT to see your changes.
