No, your not the first. Most use a kit by Vaporworx to correct the pump fuel pressure regulator.
Regulator adapter to use a standard 2002 Camaro fuel pressure regulator or
the drop in regulator...
I thought the TCM2650 sent RPM and TPS data to the trans along with the required torque data. Have you used the TCM2650 software to make sure you are getting the RPM and TPS data?

Here is the connector pin out.

SPS2 still allows you to use a different VIN than what is in the module.
I don't think SPS2 will allow you to program that 2012 Malibu ECM as a 2007 Cobalt. Like Bill said, other software might...
Do you have the Lokar shifter that has the sport shift position after drive or to the side of drive?
-Greg
Hmmm, that shouldn't be the case since the E38 and E67 should be the same as far as the GMLAN messages go, but give GM a call. Them might not be able to help since you are not doing something in...
OK, try this one.

OK, I'm getting the same error. Let me see if I can work around the GM software limitation.
Let me know if this file fixes it. (change .hpt to .cpm)

That file is set to read the speed from the ECM via CANBUS, which are how the newer versions are set up. I forgot that changed a while ago.
So, I think your issue has to be in the ECM...
Hmmm I have a junk 2010+ valve body here and the correct hardware and software to flash it with the GM cal. Maybe I'll give it a try.
Good info there.
HPtuners should not work on the 6L80e speed Chevrolet Performance trans controller as it is programmed with custom software. If HPT is used it might brick the TCM that is why the performance...
The TCM software will display the calculated speed. Are you using the USB cable for the TCM and the Chevrolet Performance software? Post the Chevrolet Performance .CPM file and I'll take a look.
Of course HP Tuners won't read the TCM, it is an aftermarket module and not factory. Powertrain Control Solutions enables the pids for scanners as if it is factory though.
I'm pretty sure the...
Ahh good point. I wasn't thinking about the ECM needing feedback from the TCM.
Chevrolet performance LS controllers are programmed for manual only. The 4L transmission connect and cruise kits use a separate transmission controller system. It just pulled TPS, and RPM from the...
This is the problem. The ECM is programmed for a 4 wire pressure sensor. So you need the 4 wire rail sensor and the correct injector harness for that bank of injectors and sensor.
You can not mix...
Just leave the stock ECU in the truck and put the correct fuel rail pressure sensor on the LT4 engine. That should fix the problem I think.
It looks to me like someone set the ECM file to Automatic instead of Manual. Once you set this flag to automatic I've seen the TC-2 not read the correct info.
I've compared your ECM file to a know...

I thought it was more related to the fuel pump not having a check valve being the problem and not the regulator. Am I mistaken?
-Greg
Not with GM SPS, don't know about other software.
