I turned the RP down to 16k, I will run a tank through it and see how it does. I also noticed I had the pilot PW zeroed out and post PW added in... so I reversed that and just set them at factory...
If you guys could post a tune that is designed for mileage or towing, that would be awesome too. I like looking through the tunes and seeing what others are doing.
Looking to help out my tow rig/daily in the mileage department. I know its not setup for the the best for MPG, and I am not changing that. Just looking to optimize the tune the best I can. Its a 2004...
I am having some problems with my rail pressure taking a big hit off the line, then generally not holding pressure very steady down the track. Can anyone help with my FCA tables to try and fix this...
Awesome, I appreciate the information!
What are you guys running in your gov tables to achieve full fuel up to or past 4500rpm? I swapped to a larger single charger and it doesnt fully light until about 3000rpm, so I want to shift at...
You need to go do a 4wd launch WOT until about 100mph. When you are on and off the throttle its hard to tell if everything is doing what it is supposed to.
As long as he hasn't messed with the FCA amperage it should work fine. 22k psi at idle while the ECM is asking for 7k is not a tuning problem.
You have something pulling a lot of timing and fuel, I would look over your timing correction tables and turn off torque management.
Yea, i wouldn't run it with RP like that you can hurt the injectors.
Post your tune up so we can look at it.
Man... that looks like mess.
#1) Get that RP issue figured out, I would assume its probably a bad FCA. Does it rattle really bad at idle?
#2) You really need to build new tables that are...
about 8* at cruising speed is typical.
The turbine is a 83 wheel in a 90 housing. I plan on going to a Forced Inductions billet 76/87/1.0. I appreciate the info on the FCA duty cycle!
I was looking at the fuel rate. Yes, it is manual to auto swapped truck with full manual VB.
On these runs the mods are as follows:
2003 Cummins Auto w/full manual VB
67.7FMW/83/90 T4
10.6mm Motorsports Stroker pump
125hp II Injectors
Hamilton 103 springs and billet pushrods

This run was the same day, right before the first. The fuel rate holds but timing is all over the place. It spun off the line, but only ran a .01 slower.

Take a look at my log and tune, I am trying to figure out why the truck cuts fuel past 3600rpm, I try to shift at about 37-3800RPM. Fuel correction is the High Speed Gov, but I already have it raised...
I have had the same problem, I believe it stopped when I raised the lower RPM timing a degree or so in the 120mm+ area. I would do it during a rolling low speed (20-30mph) burnout or traction loss. I...
I am having a hard time getting my 04 Cummins with 48re to lock up the converter in 3rd and 4th after about 25% throttle. Can anyone shed some light on this for me?
It could be the CP3 not keeping up with the demand. Or you are losing lift pump pressure. Even modded pumps will have a small delay before RPM increases, dual pumps will handle that dip the best...
On my tune it only drops maybe 2000psi, the 3200us PW table I tried dropped it 6000psi.
IDK why my idle is so low, its usually around 5300psi. I need to look into it, sure does idle quiet though....
Dom, I tried the PW table you had on the 04 tune you posted, my truck didnt like it... mainly RP didnt like it. lol
I also logged my tune this morning. It still drops RP but not as bad, this...
I went through and changed a bunch of things, truck runs way better. Ill get some better logs soon as well.

So I need to delete every channel with SAE behind it, and add the one without?
