What's up with those jacked up cam angles?
What size comp cam is that? Looks like the cam is being retarded way to much.
84 degrees AFR is in the low 12's. Now it's in the 40's and the AFR is high 12's low 13's. Any ideas?126037
Thanks white1. That did the trick!
Thanks I'll give that a try!
Can someone from HP tuners comment on this?
2009 RT M6 with a 426 stroker. Just did the NN trainer in hopes of getting the correct AFR at high RPM. Limiters are set to 6600 but the engine cuts out at 6300 rpm. Anyone have any ideas? Log...
Got it to work! Thanks for your help on this! I think that I was trying to open the wrong file. The correct file was stored in "downloaded" folder instead of the HP tuners folder.
Still having issues. I got the VE table to load and sent it to the trainer. After I download the trained file and open it in HP tuners it will not update the tune. I should be getting a prompt as...
I think that I figured it out. The file is large because of the change log. I tried up upload my baseline tune which was only 4 kb and it worked. Thanks!
Thanks rockystock. I tried that. Please see attached. 125687
2009 Challernger RT. Any idea why?

I believe that you can use the neuro network trainer to tune with the VVT on (black box land). I have a 2009 and I've skewed the injectors to keep the VVT on. I'm going to try the trainer when the...
Have you tweaked the VE tables?
in the idle tab try putting all of the values in your intergral max table to 25.
Not sure what's going with your IAT. It looked like it was reading temp in your log. I see that you have NN enabled. One way to dial in your fueling would be to disable NN and tune with the VE...
I understand. No idea what lock pin is after reading all of this. I have a 2009 and it does not have a lock pin setting. Maybe its a fail safe for timing/ fueling in case of some sort of...
You guys are making this out to be more complicated than it is. On your 5.7 call for 130 degrees on all exhaust table all rpms. Log and see how high you actually get. This will be your max...
I just looked at your tune (challenger tune 5th with Airflwo VVT tunes). You will never hit those 131 and 129 degree targets on the wot exhaust table because the max advance with a 5.7 tune is 125. ...
I just looked at stock 5.7 VVT tables and 6.4 VVT tables and they look very similar if you factor in the 10-degree difference on the exhaust at full advance (125 vs 135) so I probably would not mess...
I went through this mess with my 426 stroker M6. It would happen after around 50 miles or so of driving. There are a few things that I did so not sure which one fixed the problem but here goes:
1....
I would log the cam to see if it's moving. I've seen somewhere on this forum that switches could be mislabeled for certain years.
I think that you are retarding the cam way to much in the second tune. The first tune looks so so. I would not start retarding the cam until 4000 rpms or so at WOT.
I use a FAST wide band but it's expensive. I like it because you can record. I'm sure that there are others that work just as well for cheaper. You need a way to look at RPM and the AFR at the...
I don't think that you will mess your motor up. Disable VVT and start logging. You will need a wideband o2 sensor. Knock is number one. Use the VE tables to make adjustments. If you are rich...
