Re: First dyno since HPT tuning - review logs

MAF on or MAF off? May need to fine tune your WOT VE just a tad. And also I'd say richen up a bit! There's more tq down low to be had! Good pull though!

    eggzachary..... :D
  4. Re: MAF table dialed in!!! Tune almost complete!

Have you tried your stock MAF to see if it still does it? ???
  5. Re: Tuned my VE, plugged in MAF car runs like crap

check out the MAF sticky at the top of this forum!
  6. Re: MAF table dialed in!!! Tune almost complete!

There are many ways the PCM pulls timing, log all your "retard PIDs" see why and where it's coming from. I know at least for me, I changed to a 160 stat and I had a little bit of timing being pulled...
  7. Re: Strange looking part throttle 02 readings...

Don't forget to set the ECT to activate your HOT TPS table. Otherwise you PCM only recognizes your Cold.

Re: Can you guess at AFR with stock o2's?

if your hunting for 13.0 AFR then most people say 890-900mv is where that is accomplished. It's a good general place to shoot for, but can't be completely accurate. I wouldn't trust it much though...
  9. Re: can someone give me there file for LT's/ORY/CB

either get a wideband or get back on the dyno. Copying someone else's setup will only net you a tune that's not entirely specific to your car. Every car will run differently so you might get lucky...
  10. Re: MAF table dialed in!!! Tune almost complete!

if you are using a stock screened MAF, chances are you probably don't need to recalibrate your MAF, but one easy way to tell, is to log SD dynamic airflow vs MAF airflow. Even the smallest mods can...

  12. Re: MAF table dialed in!!! Tune almost complete!

Mr MAFless has decided to join the party! Well you're one of those guys that gets a 10K measurement huh... lol chances are you may touch 10K Hz a bit, did you calc max MAF input at these...
  13. Re: VE tuning with HPT Wideband and Narrowband how

yes, pick a medium type weather day to nail this down, and try to do it quick! The thing that sucks about narrowband tuning is that you have to drive around to let the trims relearn before you can...
  14. Re: MAF table dialed in!!! Tune almost compl

that may be a possibility but that would only be a comparison at 145 mph... I guess the only way to tell is to line up curves and compare. The thing is though, some of us measure air in 70 degree...
  15. Re: MAF table dialed in!!! Tune almost compl

Or y'all could try this approach: Since we most likely will NEVER reach frequencies below 2K and above 10K, you can calculate out the percentage difference b/w your new derived MAF values and...

    Re: Stupid DTC P0300

Mike, what if my low rpm table is already all set to 32727??? I know I didn't set it that way and I'm the only person that did any tuning after my cam was installed? Never had the 0300 code...
  17. Re: MAF table dialed in!!! Tune almost compl

haha... good good... I went for an hour cruise yesterday and I sampled about 35K. Tried to use it but was too much... Of course I have the original version. Was gonna let you know but you're...

Re: Quick Help, Going to the Dyno tomorrow

get yer baseline in, correct for A/F in necessary first, then play with timing... if you are on stock timing tables, add 4 degrees at a time, then back down 2 degrees once it becomes counter...

Re: SD Tune - New Dyno #s

As far as timing goes I didn't really touch it... I've always been running 30 degrees at WOT and made great #s with that so I figured leave it alone. That was established a long time ago with my...

Re: SD Tune - New Dyno #s

The one adjustment was a single AFR correction. The reason that matters is the less time you spend on the dyno, the more $$$ you can save (and the more you know what you did was correct!)

Re: SD Tune - New Dyno #s

thanks dude! Honestly for every car there's a "Sweet Spot" as far as timing goes. It's not just dump as much as you can till it knocks... for some reason my car has always made good #s with 30...
  24. Re: MAF table dialed in!!! Tune almost complete!

i went the other direction and just ditched the sunnufabitch... lol After tearing my hair out trying to put together a MAF recalibration procedure... I did come up with something good though!
