The helpfile that comes in HPT tells you what colours the wires are for off the EIO, Search for it in the Help ;)

The easiest way to find out is to log delivered engine torque, this will show you if your hitting the ceiling of 640. (Possibly log Delivered Trans Output Also)

Yup, you need support for the year your going from and the year your going to change VIN's/ReWrite entire VCM.
GM dealer is probably your easiest bet since your cables dont have a year in common...
