You probably have too much fuel in your tune. I found this old thread that explains it better than I could.

Here it is again. I could be mistaken about it being different from all the ones previously posted. I believe it is only different from a few.
Maybe this will help. 89370
This is the one I used that was created by mecanicman. It is different from ones previously posted. Search for his posts, the pics are gone but he did answer several...
Not sure if this still works with current HPT software, but this was how it was done back then. Just follow my link.

Can't go wrong with this.
Just ignore the emission stuff you can't do anymore.
The site where the person was hosting their pics probably is no longer supported. Here are a few threads you can check out. Not sure if they will be any help because they are done with older versions...
I've done it with gassers using the scanner. Look for CASE learn or relearn. Google also helps.

I installed a block off plate and disabled the EGR. I've never thrown a code. Read that under certain conditions the EGR can be pushed open.

I believe the only Duramax of that vintage that used an ECM controlled fan clutch was the LMM Kodiaks. Probably only possible with that specific ECM.
Your table looks similar to the one in my 2007 LLY Kodiak. Couldn't find any similar tunes and just assumed the first three columns had something to do with the factory exhaust brake and I left them...
I can't recommend any because following Roger Ramjet's tutorial worked great for me. I'd search for different vendors then go to http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/? and either ask about them or search...

This is a good place to start. Pretty sure you just ignore the stuff that doesn't apply to your model.

Goto HPTuners.com and setup an account to get access to the tune repository. There are several there.
Click here for a good step by step guide.

I'm concerned about the reports I've seen about radiator fans exploding on C5500 trucks. Mine is a RV on a Kodiak chassis. I'm thinking about adjusting the fan table parameters to slow the fan down...
Check out this thread...just ignore the stuff that doesn't apply to your truck.

Thanks for posting this...I asked if anybody ever checked this tune in a different thread.
I think it use to, but not any more. I believe they encrypted it and made the change to the .hpt format.
There are several stock tunes in the repository.
Check out the Roger Ramjet LMM tuning thread on the previous page. Search the forum for the injection calculator and you should be good to go. Just ignore the parts that don't apply to your model.
