hmm, did the group use the same vdo gauges or did gm put something else in? that's the aussie Monaro so it could be the missing link.
Scanner will let me add sender voltage but not level for some...
Hey Gametech
Not a mistype, but probably missing context:
The fuel pressure 5v is the reference for the PCM as the sender doesn't appear to have it's own 5v reference available in the wiring,...
Thanks you've been super helpful.
So in short, there is no way to get the gauge data working with my current OS/tune?
Yeah I understand that, but what's the point of a segment swap if you can only swap it with an identical segment/OS?
Thanks for confirming my worst fear.
That's a bit annoying, and seems to defeat the purpose of a segment swap, unless its just a lazy version of copying and pasting the ohm tables.
So it looks...
Just FYI
The holden commodore had the dash gauge cluster outputted the 5V and return ohm value directly into the gauge, where as 2000-2002 firebird pulled the fuel gauge data from the PCM, but both...
Hi All,
I'm trying to get my fuel gauge working and it doesn't seem to want to happen.
I have a 2000 LS1 Firebird Fuel Tank and sensor and trying to get the fuel level data to pass through the...
Hey All,
I'm in the process of creating a custom LED or TFT display for my shift to indicate which gear the car is in, as I lost my B&M gear indicator panel and wanted something a bit more flashy...
Nobody?
Well I found the PCM Red Pin 53 is for fuel gauge in, so I'm going to wire my sender output directly into that and hope for the best.
There's no fuel gauge output pin I could find, so my...
Hi All,
I'm hoping someone can help me with this one, I'm trying to get the fuel gauge/sensor readings to be fed into the PCM so I can pull the values through a android tablet to use as a gauge...
Replaced throttle body without hole in the blade and all good now.
anyone?
so another update:
The leak in the intake has been fixed and my idle map reading has gone from 90kpa to 50-60kpa.
The exhaust issue is still there though, and I've confirmed its happening on both...
possibly fixed so I'll test tomorrow, but no-one really answered the question as to how the engine can keep going with HPTuners "Supposedly" disabled the injectors. Or is the software just pretending...
hmmm... well with no response here I went a-searching again and found the chinesium intake I was using didn't line up with the ported heads very well and was leaking between the heads and intake....

Here's the spark plug from the worst one #7
Still waiting on the new throttle body to arrive so i can swap it and have a new iac and TPS at the same time with the non-drilled plate, put...
Yeah I saw that.
I had a guy on the forums helping me out with the base tune to get it going but he sent me a couple of different files and I think he was juggling a lot of over the internet tunes...
Ok, quick update and some files.
I checked the fuel pressure by turning the pump on and found it was a bit low, about 50 instead of 58 psi, and seem to bleed down faster than normal.
With my return...
yeah I tried to last night but my garage pc didn't want to play nice with the network. Illpost this afternoon with some other data to help
Hi All,
I'm hinting an ongoing problem with my motor that has got me to the point where I'm ready to pack it all in and sell the f+ckin thing.
The tune is set up from speed density (mafless)...
Thanks for all your help mate.
I got the Arduino bits and had a run at the programming side.
It was pretty easy and figured out how to do a simple if/else statement to monitor the voltage and then...

Problem solved?
I do like the fact that so far any issue or requirement...
ok, so I'm about to head to Jaycar (our version of an electronics/hobbyist store) and grab some bits for this and just wanted to see if these 2 components would cover me for the build:...
