I have had many problems trying to get the software to work for past few weeks. I suspect its a windows 7 issue. I've emailed Tech Support but the back and forth emails aren't fixing my situation....
The .net4 did not work, nor did the .net45, they kept crashing the program. The pre .4 versions at least opened the program successfully, but then crashed upon trying to open a scan file. After hours...
Hi all,
I've tried multiple times to try getting my 2.22 suite to work on windows 7.
Found few suggestions posted, tried them and still no success.
I'm sure it must be something stupidly...
Hi, welcome to the community. Seems you need to log more parameters, not enough info. Tuners on this forum use similar methods but look for different tell-tale signs depending on their experience....
FYI, My interface (serial# starts with a 105030), in case that info. is relevant.
I hear you on that tuning if you're starting out. But are you looking at the VE tuning or Maf tuning? Two different histograms and tables. I believe one of Russ's write ups explained about...
I have the same issue. I've never been able to have use the stand alone feature on my Pro interface. So is the fix, a software update to the scanner software?
Thank you so much Perforator. Appreciate the memory jogger. Definitely helps me get the ball rolling and back in tuning mentality.
Oh come on guys. 11 views of this post and not a single person can tell me which PID to log? I'm leaning towards the MAF SAE lbs, but would like to be sure. I've helped on this board in the past, I'd...
Hi guys,
Need help finding configuration file, or someone to tell me the PID/Sensor to log against the MAF frequcy vs output table in the histogram settings. I recall copying and pasting special...
Harry, thank's for taking the time to explain HP tuner's functions for them. Awesome software in every sense of the word, but some of this stuff isn't explained very well.
Sorry but I seem to be a bit thickheaded in trying to figure this out.
So i have Siemens 60# injectors rated at 43.5psi
I have a 99GTP with return style fuel system and vacuum on stock FPR
Based...
I agree Fuel and spark are the first things to start tuning when looking to solve Kr problems. In your particular case going to a very low PE enable is a bit extreme I think, and therefore the trans...
Don't feel bad. I have been screwing with mine for 6 months and can't get my speedo correct either. I've used stock gear ratio, 3.29, and 3.69 values in the table but nothing seems to works. ...
the changes to your shift tables still won't compensate for the extra load. If you enabled PE sooner because of this problem, then I suggest you put it back to normal percentage and get another...
Part of a solution is to either raise your PE enable TPS, or change your shift settings to match. You are entering PE very soon and your Engine load is too high to keep up in 4th gear. You need to...
Definately not enough fuel, and possibly not enough timing. That stock tune is short by almost as much as 10% fuel at WOT from what i can see. That continuous KR isn't helping keep the engine...
This is interesting info. I've seen and heard only the 97 L67 PCM's use the flat IFR table, whereas 98 and up switched to sloped IFR tables. My 97 has flat rate and my 99 has sloped. I'ma have to...
I finally figured out how to make the surging condition less worse on my car. It will still surge on occasion, but only for a few seconds and then control itself quickly. My Northstar doesn't have...
Thanks Eddie for taking the time. I had an opportunity to buy a PT and was wondering if it was really necessary to get access to a few more tables. Seems they are not alot more as you stated. Good...
glanced at your tune, and I have a few questions.
Why did you lower your low octane timing so much?
Why do you want to blow up your engine? Setting park rpm cutoff to 6K is unnecessary.
Your...
Well, I think I may have found a fix. My Northstar kit from ZZP had the idle set screw welded in place. I heated up this small weld coating off the head and scraped it off to make it adjustable...
So I've been reading a few posts that lead me to believe that Powertuner has access to modify tables that are not available on HPT, and vice versa. Can someone shed some light as to what extra...
Now I think I understand. So the tables are definately in the PCM, they just are not available for modifying via HPT software at the moment. I thought they were just not in the PCM for V6's....
Idle spark correction? What is this screenshot from eddie, not HPT is it? I don't recognize this table.
