Reviving an old thread... because it's my thread and I finally found the answer:
You must ground pins 32 and 34 on the 0411 C1 connector to tell the ECU that the truck is in park/neutral (even...
The computer should still read it, even with the engine off and the key on. Maybe a bad wire? Maybe check continuity from the ecu connector to the TPS connector.
Again.... did you recheck your pin-out?
What did you "switch" from another working truck?
Have you tried checking to see if it even has power to the TPS? Or if the pin for TPS feedback is in the correct spot?
Are you worried at all about fuel economy or is your truck strictly a tower?
I have two setups to my power enrichment. "Normal" and "Carb'd"
My normal allows me to accelerate normally and drive...
So if I have any misfires, I can actually detect them.
Quick update on this. The reason why I could not CASE relearn was due to the RPM limits I had for VSS failure and P/N.
They MUST be at least:
VSS Fail- 5,600rpm Resume- 5,550
PN- 5,600 resume-...
So, theoretically could I have jumped the rotor a tooth so the cam offset would be near zero when the dizzy was in a serviceable position? Then everything would've been fine?
Slight update. I had to replace the distributor, again, after trying to coat the insides with dielectric grease to prevent corrosion. The cap was full of corrosion on the terminals again, and there...
Well, some progress. I was not able to do a crank relearn, BUT, with the offset being -50 I was able to turn the dizzy to get it to -3.
I'm now able to get more than 27? out of it. Still bucking a...
Hutchinson, Keith,
I know this is reviving a thread from the dead, but I find this applicable in context and may help others.
Hutchinson, in the thread you referenced where you figured out the...
I think I had an issue with torque management keeping me from upshifting properly. After going through the TM tables and maxxing/zero'ing out all the tables I could.
I am needing an extra pair of eyes to figure out why I am not getting any spark advance past 27deg. I've only recently noticed this change, and it looks like it may have started after I changed my...
Yeah, that bog is likely throttle cracker. I modified my table, but not yours. I thought it was brought on by my headers or ignition. Looks like I was wrong.
One thing I do think helps is running...
I used to have random timing dips while cruising. It came from this table
I zero'd it and no more crazy spark loss.
I am still curious though is this is the best method, as I believe I have...
Oh yes, I will post results once I get them. One of these days. Maybe sooner... it'll be my birthday soon. I need to do something for myself. There's a rentable dyno pretty close to me that I could...
I requested from him when I got my initial tune that he turn down PE to "zero" but as-in allow it to come on. He basically said "You don't do that." It is rather dangerous if the VE and MAF are not...
Even a stock 8.1 tune doesn't run timing graphs like that. My original graph wasn't even like that either!

It didn't feel bad, but felt weak when accelerating honestly with the original...

For the sake of everyone checking this out, here's what he's running now, and an initial change I have ready for him to get that KR to calm down. Also the channel config...
Ran great! It feels odd being on the passenger side and not feeling PE kick in at all like in my truck. I can also tell he has 3.73s. But other than that, ran great. I ended up taking his tune,...
THAT WAS IT! He's running now and we have feedback from MAF, going for a test drive now.
Found ENG-1 fuse blown. another GMT400 thread said that could be an issue. starting up now on his 0411
Well, test MAF shows no frequency. Checked the wiring and we have a good 5v signal to MAF, good ground, we have .4ohm of resistance on the signal feedback wire but we still are not seeing via the...
Well, so far we've used a tune that is basically a hodgepodge between my orig lextech tune and his, then bascially yours obsolete and we've had no results.
However, while logging I noticed his MAF...
It's helpful. I do appreciate it.
I'm getting all of my files and junk in order and making sure my laptop has rebooted a few times and charged.
