I had this with my swap as well. You need to move the cable attachment point closer to the pivot. I had to play with mine a couple time until I found the sweet spot for my driving. Of course you...
I will, thanks again for the help. I will get those changes made and loaded up for some more driving.
Sorry missed this.
I had a lengthly chat with the Brian Tooley crew with what I had, and what I planned on doing with it. I did not want to have to go to a higher stall convertor, and with the...
Funny I never got it wound up enough to do the higher VE points. Now I know why... so many little things to catch when doing this!
Thanks, it has upgraded rods, arp bolts, lifter upgrade, trunnion upgrade, springs\push rods came with the Brian Tooley cam kit.
Didnt realize there were two spots to adjust the limiter/shift points. No wonder the thing didnt like to rev...
What should a 6L rev to? (time to find my cam card again)
I will adjust the VE, I dropped the uppers a bit on that last tune, trying to smooth things out, might have went a bit far.
I was looking for the rev limiter, I had adjusted it before as I was...
Here is what I hope is my final tune, I have reenabled STFT, COT, DFCO and closed loop.
Please review the attached tune and logs and tell me if anything screams at you (minus the KR, I hevent...
Perfect thanks.

It has both stock O2's
More questions as I get ready to wrap up my tune and return the gear to its owner!
Once I have my VE and timing table sorted as best I can.
Do I re-enable closed loop?
This is combined...
Why is your throttle showing 14-19% Is this at idle?
Oh and check the math on your WB, **edit** I ran into the same issue with mine, had the wrong math for my autometer WB.
So I finally got to load up the tune and go for a drive. Now I knew my timing was off, I didnt realize by how much. I basically copied 04silverado6.0 table. Loaded it up and went for a drive. And...
Sweet thanks. Most of the tune is good to go, just the timing had me chasing my tail. Though fixing the timing may screw up the VE again....round and round and round we go.
Oh and as always, thanks a ton for time you all spend on here help us.
And thats what I was seeing with all the tunes I was looking at, I am 15-20 low in a lot of the table. That struck me as really really, odd.
I am hoping to get some drive time in this weekend,...
Told you it was a mess! I will start back with the stock table and go from there. I truly have no idea how it ended up where it is, but it sure is ugly.
The plan was, once it was things were...
Here is a current data log, the tune listed above was the result of this log.
130987
I will get a current log once I can get a chance to drive it!
Thanks I will take a look at that. Now I need to go through all my old tunes and see how far back that value got changed.
Under - Spark - Base there is a "Max Speed" value. For some reason mine is set to 5 MPH, most others are set to 250. If it disables the "Main spark table" WTH is running off of?
I am working on finishing up my tune, but the timing table has me at a loss. I just went through 13 different LQ4 tunes on the forum and looked at all the timing tables. Most of them are nice and...
Good point. I think I will be safe and replace them both. I cannot remember if they were replaced when I rebuilt the engine.
Nope, no codes, nothing else to indicate an issue with a knock sensor. I remember seeing/reading something about needing to "desensitize" the sensors with any changes. I will dig into that a bit.
