  1. VCM Scanner: STFT & LTFT vs STFT (SAE) and LTFT (SAE)

Not sure this has been covered - I just want to ensure I've got it right.

    - The "S/LTFT (SAE)" PIDs show the percentage correction being applied to the VE table.

    - The "S/LTFT Avg" PIDs show...

    Re: shifting into drive?

I don't specifically know the answer, but I'd start by looking at the Engine Idle settings.

Re: Tow/Haul mode... does it access this table?

    Hi MNR-0,

The "Tow/Haul" switch does the same as the "Power" button on the A4 commodores - except of course that the trans calibrations for it would be set up to help with towing.

    Not sure if...

That makes sense - although it assumes the pulses/mile value is correct ;)

Since there isn't a clear answer on why there is a difference - do you have a suggestion on which way I should go? (Maybe...

    Re: Tire height

Hi Chris, a question on this if I may.

I looked at 2 stock bins for Commodores with 235/45 R17's - and found the Tyre Size value down as 24.80. I have the same tyres - which were set by a Tech2...

Re: Screen captures from a "Pro Tuner"

I'm a novice with little knowledge on this subject - but there could be a valid explanation for the screen capture shown.

    Thanks Chris - much appreciated.

This little issue has caused me a lot of grief. Explains a lot - including why my logged trans data would never seem to match the calibration changes.

To ensure I got this right...

    Re: A few noob questions

    In VCM Editor:

    . open .bin file
    . Select Edit > Engine Diagnostics > DTC's
. Press F1, and read the help file.
. Go through the long list of DTCs and change as required.

Re: Can I use HPT if I already have used LS1edit?

Actually - it depends on if the tuner locked the PCM via LS1Edit or not.

If locked, you wouldn't be able to download and edit the tune. If unlocked, then you'll have no problem.
