Actually found some info on this. The OBD2 and OBD1 LT1 computers are very similar. Both use Dual 68HC11's. Not sure what the F1 variant is.

And I have no idea how the dual architecture works....

So is this hardware about the same as that B&B hardware being discussed in the other thread? Just a J1850 convertor???

So if I upgrade to V2 Autotap hardware it will be able to do all the stuff that this unit can do? I have the pro version and plan to upgrade to that...if that makes a difference.
