mk5 gti vcm scanner not working

i have a 2008 vw gti 6 speed 2.0 and for some reason the vcm scanner will connect to my car but the red button does absolutely nothing i click it and a few icons flash ive tried everything updates restarts betas etc nothing but the scanner works perfect on my 06 gmc 1500 any ideas? i tried support but i couldnt get the guy to understand im not getting any error messages at all the issue is im not getting anything!

i was having this issue also, you have to go into vcm scanner and under the vehicle tab next to the log file at the top left, there is an option to repoll for supported parameters. that got everything working for me

Yeah I think I saw that and I gave it a shot but nothing came up does that mean nothing is supported?
