VK56 on VQ40 ECM?

Can someone enlighten me please? I've got a VK56 (and manual) swapped 2010 Frontier. The ECM I'm running is from the donor 2006 Titan. I can't touch the 2006 ECM with HP Tuners - it won't recognize the protocol. I still have the original Frontier ECM and the MPVI3 will read/write it. Before I use and possibly waste a bunch of credits to try - does anyone know if I can successfully write a VK56 file to the VQ40 ECM? The ECM pin-outs are identical.

I'm watching this thread as I'm interested to learn if we can cross-flash Nissan ECMs as well.

I honestly think it would work but I couldn't find an answer so I ended up using a newer VK56 ECM to avoid possibly flushing 4 credits. If anyone knows the answer to this, I remain curious.
