    08 Silverado Truck Norris cam

New to the forum, new to tuning
Original tune dome through Mail Order Tuner, it was running fine and now i'm having issues.
Only thing I changed was upping the idle

    New 5.3L
    No DOD or VVT
Stock heads with BTR .560 Beehive springs
    AFE CAI
    Jet Pro Flow 87mm
Hooker Blackheart 1 3/4 shorty headers

Seems to be misfiring a lot, mostly at idle
I thought that it may be my plug wires, which it may still might be. Ive replaced the wires and checked the plugs and the plugs looked good
When they resent me the tune file, it seemed to me like it was incomplete

Attached is the tune file and recent datalog

Maybe someone can tell me what I,m missing or need to change

    Thanks in advance!

    uggh.

The VVE stuff needs to be tuned. It will make a huge difference in how smooth the truck runs.

The tuner should have maxed out the misfire tables. Misfire diag just doesn't work with a cam. It picks up on the lope as a miss.

The fuel trims are a bit lean too. A solid go over on the tune should make a big difference.

Ouch on the spark table. Looks like 20 deg locked out and send it. Get the VVE tuned also

Yeah I?ll have to do another data log
    Truck has no power now
I?ll also add that they need to look at the VVE as well

16deg idle timing is pretty low for that cam. Mine usually end up in the 18-22deg range

8g/s idle airflow is probably pretty low also

All of the misfire tables need maxed out, and PO300 code needs removed

Your Startup Airflow is pretty low. Does it have an extended/slow crank?

Your COT over temp is off, and one table for catalyst spark is off... If you do not have cats, all the rest of the cat spark tables need zero'd out, and the corresponding DTC's set to no error for cats and rear o2's

Your main spark table is a mess

    That's at a quick glance

Yes it does have an extended slow crank, and when it warms up it barely cranks
Yeah, I'm thinking at this point I may try a different tuner
I'm just not getting results from MOT
Seems like it's running worse with the updated tune

I did a good long data log today and it actually stalled out while turning a corner
I let them know this in my most recent upload to them

I’m by no means a tuner, been dealing with trying to fix the tune on my 6.2 that mot did, actually took it to him, anyway, if you haven’t already spend the money and get some good wires with ceramic boots, the headers will ruin plug wires, even with heat sleeves….mine did anyways

I want to start out by saying I am no tuner by any means. However, I did find your issue. It is underlined and in bold letters. ^^ That guy is just taking peoples money. It's a disservice to the end user and a slap in the face to the actual tuners who so willingly help out on this forum. Knowing now what I didn't know when I was just getting started, I'd be more than willing to pay one of these more knowledgeable guys on here for a tune. Good luck with your results.

I hear that. I payed him a lot of money and I'm not happy with the way it turned out

So, my question is, where do I go to add grams to my idle airflow?

    engine>idle>airflow>base running airflow>airflow final minimum

That?s what I changed, still showing 8gs at idle
    Maybe I did it wrong

This what he has me set at currently
So, should I start high at the low end with ending value at idle being 10g or so to begin with and smooth from idle
again, sorry I am new to this

    This my current startup airflow
I changed my final airflow minimum but it's still showing 8g's at idle
Do I need to bump up the values in this table?

Give this a try. You will still need to dial in your fueling but it should be much better.

    Cheers.

Main Spark wise, I just blended in the big dip they left in the middle. This is set in MAF only mode. Starting on that side of things will get fuel dialed in the quickest and more drivable quicker. Once fuel is perfect on the MAF, you can move on to the VVE table and blend it like OE does. This file should at least crank up better, and I doubt it will die on rolling turns/stops while off throttle. Use it as a compare file if you want to see the cranking air, BRAF, and idle spark differences.

After a few logs, we can see if this is close idle wise and work on your MAF fuel table
