License - setting up for the first time

At the risk of sounding like a dummy...

    I have a 1979 C10 with a LS1 from a 2001-2004 corvette.

When I put information for credits/licensing, am I licensing the C10 and it?s VIN or am I license the engine?

Or is it gonna be a 1979 c10 for the license and it will then ask for the engine info and it will allow me to input the ls1?

typically you are licensing the file and the ecm at the same time.
It doesn't have to be perfect, it just needs to be done in two weeks...

Right, it will license whatever computer you have. If you were given a 2002 Corvette computer, it will license it as a corvette.

You can never input anything about your C10 because the VIN and truck were never made with a LS computer.
2016 Silverado CCSB 5.3/6L80e, not as slow but still heavy.

If you don't post your tune and logs when you have questions you aren't helping yourself.

Thanks; it just kind of worked out when I connected. I was worried that there might be some kind of conflict with the VIN and the engine but it really wasn't an issue. Thanks.
