    Tach signal issue

I have a 2011 E38 on a 6.2 in a streetrod. The Tach reads accurately to 2500 then falls off to 0. Is there a setting that is limiting the range? We're using Dakota Digital gauges.
    TIA

Try using 470 Ohm pullup resistor from tach wire to switched ignition.

Will that affect the range that it is already accurate in?

It will not affect accuracy. Seems like your Tach gauge has too weak internal pullup and signal looses amplitude when frequency rises.

No it just makes the signal for sure on/ for sure off. Google tach pull up resistor. Harmless to try.
