    Can a 2009 TCM control a 2005 4L60e

I have swapped a 2009 LY6 into a 2005 Colorado and rebuilt the 05 4L60e and bolted it behind the LY6, my question is can I use a TCM from a 2009 Colorado to control the 2005 transmission? I put a standalone harness for the engine and got a harness to integrate the original Colorado ECM to the new engine. Everything in the truck seems to be working but the transmission only shifts from 1st to 2nd.

09 is when GM went to the internal MLPS switch on the 60Es, you'll need to adjust the tune so it uses the correct, external one that your 05 transmission will have.

Assuming you're also using the 09 ECM and factory correct OS' for both ECM+TCM, did you license the entire file? If so, you'll want to compare an 08 T42 file (TrailBlazer SS is an easy one to use and should be in the Repo) and specifically look at the Trans -> General -> Configuration section to start. Easy to just compare both files and see what needs to be changed that way, if you've already dialed in the speedo and tire size then leave those alone.

Thank you I’ll try comparing the 08 trail blazer file, I did license the entire file, I have way to much money in this swap to start over lol

This is only the stuff going to the trans 20-way connector, PCM/TCM power/ground/comms stuff not included because they're so different.
