    Agreeing with all others, mine ate 2 batteries in the past. I learned my lesson after that.

    Jezus H. Chrizt...I haven't unplugged mine since November other than to permanently mount it in the console...even sat for two weeks while I changed my differential, and it sat for a week several times over the winter.

    Now watch...I'll go home tonight to find the battery dead

    Mines stays nearly permantly plugged into my car, the only time it comes out is if i have another car to play with or i put it in the wifes car. I get plenty of flat batterys so i just charge her up over night and all is good unless the car sits for a few days or more.
    Give it a go yourself first, if it doesnt work out then pay someone.
