112mm TB giving me idle issues! Help.

    Hi,

I'm tuning a 2017 Camaro with a 112mm throttle body and I'm having issues with the idle. Either the idle is way too high (1400-2000 rpms) or way too low and my KPA gets to 101 @ 700rpms.

I've dialed in the VVE and made multiple changes to the torque table but I'm still not making any progress. Anyone have tips on how to approach 112mm TB?

Could be the tune, I have one of the first 112mm on my personal car and idles rock steady with a very small cam at 650rpm with 12-15 degrees of timing

Agreed. I went from a 103 to 112 with no drama at all.

    Mine is a 15 stingray.

Also a Katech which is made by Nick Williams.. I recently tried to tune a off brand 103 I believe on a HCI 21ss and had them take off the TB for favtory one as a test, as the aftermarket one caused surging at all RPMS, was very odd

I just reread your first post… if map data is correct and you’re hitting 101 KPA at 700rpms the engine is either missing or you have a vac leak. Naturally would be a vac leak in his case since the high idle, what is timing doing!!??

It might have been when you were tuning my car, Ben. I tried a ported 103 from Soler and my car was friggin possessed! Put the Katech 103 back on and no problem. Upgraded to Katech 112 with no problem too.
