    1996 Obd2?????????????????

    Hello All

I'm not sure this is the right place for this but...

I sent an Email to HPT about 1 month ago with no reply.

I am very close to buy tuning software for my 96 Lt1/Lt4 TA. Does HPT have suport for me? If not is this even an option?

On another forum, a guy started a poll for OBD1 and OBD2 Software from HPT and there are over 100 people ready to buy!

Anyone from HPT that can help???? Or are we just out of luck?

    Thanks
    Ross

Yup we are aware of the poll & are looking into it, but to give you a timeframe on when/if we will release it is impossible.
It doesn't have to be perfect, it just needs to be done in two weeks...

I use Tuner Cat for the LT1/LT4 cars. MX Scan is also available for these cars. I use the Hp Tuner scanner
on the 1998-2000 Vortec trucks with custom histograms. This allows me to use the wideband with the enhanced I/O.

Well cool! Good to know you have seen that!!!
I understand you cant put a timeframe on it but... Any idea? (Ballpark) 6mounths? Or more then a year? I would just hate to buy Tuner Cat and have HPT release there software 2 weeks later.

If we do, it wont even be this year. While we know the LT1 code, there has not been more than 100 requests for it. We have quite a few other commitments to fulfill first.

Eh, for the moment it is at least nice to be able to scan OBD-II LT1s. I used the scanner to lean out a pig rich, blown Impala recently. Although we can't log knock retard though. We had to settle with Autocrap ... uhm, Autotap for that.

I've asked about it many times...

It probably not gonna happen for a long time
I think it came down to supply and demand if I remember correctly..

I would buy it along with many others. I would think that it would be easy to develop for the OBD2 96-97LT1 cars.(since OBD2 at least) I bet I could round up several people.

You can scan LT1/4 cars with it? Awesome! My Cousin and I just bought HPT for our LS cars but we really need it for LT1 cars also. If you develop it, put me in the front of the line for a beta version.
