    Torque converter recommendations

Anyone have any torque converters they recommend? Just swapped to a stage 2 vvt cam... It recommended a 2800+ rpm with the kit I got.... Just wasn't sure about brands or what was recommended for daily driving... I don't mind a little hp loss for drive ability...
    Here's what is have

    TSP Stage 2 VVT L99 Cam Specs: 227/239, .629"/.629", 113 LSA

I've had good luck with PATC in Louisiana. they have a decent website (although not the greatest to navigate, but very informative)
I've bought a couple of transmissions and several diff styles of TC's from them over the years.

I put a Circle D in my 6L80 rebuild and I love it.

Circle-D 2,800 stall single clutch converter.

Why do I say 'single clutch'? ... Because the only reason you would need a triple clutch converter is if you plan on locking the converter at WOT. And for a car that is not a purpose built drag race car, there is no reason at all that you would ever need to lock the converter at WOT.

BTW ... the stock C6 Corvette converter is right at 1,700 rpm stall ... a 2,800 stall is a very big jump from that.

Going too high on the stall speed will only hurt the overall 'drivability' of the car ... A 2,800 - 3,200 stall converter will launch the car real good!

I only use the triple disk in the turbo trucks that tow. Everything else gets a single disk.
