    8L90 Desired Slip

    Hello all,

This is my first post here on this forum so pardon if this isn't in the right location..
I have recently started to get more into tuning. Specificly gen 5 LT1,LT4 and the 8L90

I have been reading a lot of posts and messages saying that on a 8L90 the Desired Slip should always be 0 to prevent the known tcc stutter. Oke fair..
But i am curious if i put the whole table to 0, if that affects the reliability of the TCC and the transmission.

So i am hoping to gets some thoughts from you all.

    Thanks in advance!

I'm getting a slight trans shutter during the 2 to 3 shift during normal to light acceleration on a 2016 A8 . Everything else work well .
Can that problem be tuned out?
Does the trans module need to be sent in and tuned.
    Thanks in advance.

16 can be easily tuned, just pull trans file and tune it!

I've run that table on 0 on several cars and it does fine. I don't see it effecting reliability. If anything it probably helps reliability not slipping.

Would someone be willing to post a screen shot of the desired slip table in HP Tuners on the 8L90? I cannot seem to find it and I know it's there somewhere. Thanks!

Are you referring to TCC Desired Slip? If so... Transmission > Torque Converter > General > TCC Desired Slip

just because you zero out the tcc slip tables doesn't mean its still not slipping. you really need to do a scan while driving of the appropriate pids to really get the tcc dialed in
