Tc-1791 control pack PCM swap from manual to auto

I have a gen 2 control pack with PCM TC-1791 it was bought as a manual control pack and now I would like to switch to auto. Can anyone confirm if I can have this PCM re programmed or know what I have to do to make this happen? Lots of searching and coming up with lots of conflicting answers.

MT pcm wont work, no parts inside to control auto.
But control pack might be different, pcm's from stock
Cars wont and we verified that.

Same story with V6 - you can swap V8 and upload V8
OS into but 2 cylinders wont fire. Ford will remove single
transistors to save money.

The cheapest way to do it is probably to get a junkyard auto ECU, have someone disable PATS, and modify tune to suit your application.

There are a bunch of folks who can ash can the anti-theft, but you'll have to ship them the ecu to do it.
