Best method for dialing in BRAF

What is the best method for dialing in BRAF and does VVE need to be tuned before I begin? I'm going to take some time and try to get this right to see If or how much difference it will make. The way i am going to try first is by using the Spark Advance graph in the scanner and compare it to my Idle Spark Advance table in Editor.

I log dynamic airflow and set up a histogram that matches the BRAF tables. The I set the idle RPM for the various breakpoints in the BRAF table and populate the data collected. This has always worked well
    for me.

So my BRAF table has RPM (x axis) vs Gears (y-axis)1-6 P-N-R. I cannot find the information for the y-axis: braf.jpg

I am not sure how to set this up.

So set you desired idle speed say 650rpm log dynamic airflow in g/s and populate the table from that. Then do the same for 800, 1000 & 1200 rpm. I just log it in neutral or park and use that data across all gears and go from there.
