    Remote start issues

13 Escalade, In weather above 40 deg it remote starts great. When its colder like this morning at 28 when I use remote start it starts and runs for about 5 to 10 seconds then just dies. It will not let me remote start it the second time, so I have to go out and use the key. It will start with the key and idle just fine.

Typically that means there is a code stored in the vehicle. Try scanning it for codes.

If there were a fault code, it would throw a CEL, and the remote start wouldn't work at all, until the CEL was cleared. Not sure if he was asking a question or just making a statement about his vehicle. He really didn't ask anything.

Yes sorry for not making it clear. No CEL on , No codes.. Wandering if anyone has had this and any ideas on what to change to get it to stop..
Recently did DOD delete with stage 2 comp cams with VVT, new springs. The tune I have is not bad, this is my only issue.

I wouldn't assume it doesn't have CEL. I'd scan it.

Permanent or pending? Permanent codes won't disable remote start if they are set to NER. I would just set those to NER.

You have to permanently disable those two DTC's. Do you know how to do that?

Ok after some googleing I found out how to edit the DTC by clicking on How it reports and set to No report.... 2xls1 I did not see where you said to set it to NER... Thank you ...And for the others that chimed in thank you as well. I am an old school rodder and this computer stuff has me at a loss...If this wasn't my own truck, I would say take it somewhere else... But I can't let other people work on my rides, just not in me.

That's why you weren't getting a SES light with set codes.
