    6.7 Tuning General Question

I have a few tune files from light weight 6.7 trucks I've worked on in the past that I read and copied for me to study on. My question is can I write one of those files onto a truck that is completely stock or do I have the ability to copy/paste areas to the stock truck in an effort to shed lbs?

the correct way is to read the truck out, modify the file and then put it back into the truck. you dont have the ability to copy and paste.

The copy and paste of the light version areas is not accessible in the editor for obvious reasons, but it remains the file if it was there previously. If the hardware and operating system is the same between your truck and the sample files, I'd assume there wouldn't be an issue flashing. I don't know how the VIN is changed though (haven't tried or done it).

you would have to convert the file to bin file to change the vin. Then convert back to hpt.
