    Tuning help please. New to HP Tuners.. any help would be appreciated

    Any help would be great!!! I have a 2014 Tahoe 5.3 Gen 4.... would like advice on how to get better acceleration and some better trans tuning... I had an 07 and it was tuned with HP Tuners prior to me buying the vehicle.... I love how that thing performed which had the same size engine... the one I have now is bone stock and would love if anyone can help....please and thank you!!! Stock tune that is on the vehicle now is posted in attachment... will be disabling DOD after this post, but any other help would be great!!!

    Finally got around installing cold air intake. Engine seems to feel like it falls on its face when you give it gas on takeoff. Not sure if I?m running rich can someone check my tune in previous post?

    A log would show more and get you more help. From the sound of it you may even have something like a fuel pump going out if it falls off that badly.

    Here is a file to get you started. You still need to map shift points, spark and unlock converter in gears 1-4.

    You need to tune in the MAF for the cold air intake. Can still do lots more with the tune too.

    Ok thanks I?m stressing out here? just got this vehicle and added this cold air intake? I?m going out of town with my kids and have no idea how to tune MAF and not sure if I have the time to learn?. Any help from anyone would be appreciated

    Seems like it would be less stress to just put the stock intake back on and tune the MAF later once you figure it out.

    Most cold air intake are just for show anyway. The stock airbox with an airaid intake tube basically requires zero tuning and still gives you the "sound" people want.
    2016 Silverado CCSB 5.3/6L80e, not as slow but still heavy.

    If you don't post your tune and logs when you have questions you aren't helping yourself.

    I don?t have the stock intake it?s a spectre cold air?. Seems like it?s a bit rich

    You need to add MAF Frequency/Hz to your channels before you can make corrections. Even if the log is posted here for a quick correction it needs to have MAF Hz added to the channels.

    Otherwise it's a little rich - plenty safe to drive on.

    OK new update took this thing out to work this morning. I definitely need help I?m going out of town and this is my only vehicle right now ?I?m supposed to be leaving at two in the morning for my daughter?s cheer competition, Can I buy custom tune from someone? or can someone help me out please and thank you

    I used Bluecat and followed Matt Sanford's guide. The only part where I deviated was leaving TCC slip RPM alone. The carbon weave material GM used in the converters is meant to slip and raising TCC pressure to eliminated slip can damage the carbon weave. Along with deleting DOD/AFM, the drivability is night and day.

    Moral of the story, optimizing your trans tune will resulting in improved responses and acceleration.
