    Help? l83 to l86 swap 2017 Silverado

    Hey first post here not a professional tuner just a backyard guy with a laptop. Looking for some help because I can't seem to fine any other posts on this. I swapped an l86 into my l83 silverado. Kept my 5.3 ecm and 6l80. No engine mods just a flex sensor and a cold air intake. Run e85 99% of the time. It's been my daily driver for probably the past 6 months or so. It drives great but it has this annoying low speed surge I can't seem to get rid of. They never made any e92a 6.2 6l80 combos. So all I did to start off was use the comparison tool from a matching year 6.2 and copied the engine tables into my file. Except the driver demand table because it was in axle torque instead of engine torque. I ended up using one from a 2014. Anyways I would greatly appreciate some advice on the right way to go about this or even pay to have this done right. Attached is my current file. 5.3 to 6.2 Swap E85 MAF Only.hpt

    Cadillac Escalade had the 6.2 with a 6l80... Pretty sure this is a stock file, but if anything looks way off...

    Yeah I see that. The Silverado's did too. Pretty sure they stopped any 6.2 6l80combos in 2015.5. That's an e92 and I have an e92a ecm. That's what I was saying they didn't have any files that fit my exact build. Is this a better file to work from though? It sure looks more aggressive than a Silverado file. Also I noticed torque shaping is on. Does that make a big difference? Gonna play around with it. Didn't even think to check out Cadillac's

    What year Escalade ran an L86 with a 6L80? I thought they ran the L86 starting in 2015 with the 8L90 in the GM SUV's. 2014 Escalade ran the 6L80 but had the LS based 6.2L (can't remember the engine code).

    Early 15's had 6 speeds. Late 15's had the 8's...

    This one has the 8sp. Lots of changes and ran better. It's a late 15 model. I've done cam, blower and head mod type tunes on both. I can say engine side wise the one with the 8sp is easier to tune and trans side the one with the 6sp is easier
