Couldn't leave well enough alone so did a little more tweaking. Now starts most of the time in less than 0.4 seconds and less than 1 second max. Did 12 starts yesterday and everyone was good. So problem fixed.
Thanks again for the ideas and suggestions.

Had some decent weather so took the car out for a short test drive. Ran great. Zero to 60 was about 3.8 seconds from a slight rolling start (tires were cold and didn't want to make too much noise). Estimated 1/4 mile time is about 11.1 to 11.3 seconds but I didn't run it all the way, just enough to get an idea how it was running from low RPM to redline. Part of the good performance is that the car now only weighs just over 2900 lbs from stripping out everything. But done messing with the engine and have to get back to suspension work and stuff.

Verified repeatedly that the fuel pump primes instantly, holds pressure, zero evidence of leakage and no detectable issues with fuel flow. Watched fuel pressure during every start and no deviation on pressure.

That is why I did the cranking parameters investigation, comparison and modification which seems to have solved the cranking problem. Have done over 12 starts and every one was good.

So thanks again for all your help, ideas and suggestions.
