    2019 f150 3.5 eb

What are the Torque Source "TipOut Limit" and Torque Max Source "Popcorn" limits? Sorry if these are seemingly dumb questions. I'm new to tuning ecoboost engines and the search tool did not turn up a lot of detailed information.

    Thanks for any help!

Thanks for the reply! I have the LSPI tables bumped up a bit, but I don't want to create much more boost. Does running into Popcorn cause any issues?

Popcorn limit is an easy way to control “boost”.

Thanks! Is there a better way to describe "boost"?

Yes, the ecoboost, nor any other ford strategy care about “boost”. All they care about is load. Sometimes you can have boost but be at .9 load and sometimes you can have no boost and be at 1.2 load. What’s going on in the cylinder does really care if it’s above atmospheric pressure or not, just the absolute conditions.

Disable popcorn by putting a 0 where the 1 is.

I made two pulls, both locked in 3rd gear. I raised the LSPI tables quite a bit, but I guess not enough, because I'm still seeing popcorn.

The load looks good and steady around 2.0 at WOT...I think that's a good thing. I'm still hitting other limiters. I could use some expert advice here.

Without access to a dyno, I think the truck is getting pretty close to where I want it to be.
