Mixed answers about SD VE corrections

I've got the 3.5 EB and I've heard mixed results about correcting the VE tables. Some say if your fuel trims are under 5%, there is no advantage to fine tuning the airflow values. Others say it will make a difference under higher loads. Any solid advice?

If the truck is stock or mild bolt ons I just can't imagine recalibrating the SD would be of any benefit, especially with trims that close. The fueling is close already and unless you've changed cams, turbos, or anything else that will affect the mechanical efficiency I'd let it ride.

Thanks for the response. I enabled the flex fuel option for the engine and I know it uses fuel trim to detect ethanol so I didn’t know how accurate it needed to be.
