Solution: Pops and Burbles on Shifts

I've been working on a different drivability project and stumbled upon now to get the pops and burbles between shifts that some people want: Lower the low-load values in 44894. It allows more spark retard in the long term, which creates backfires as the fuel is ignited in the exhaust.

To compensate for the added spark clipping in the "long term," it helps to reduce the spark clipping in the short term (44895).

If you want sustained pops and burbles (and be "that guy"), set the DFCO ECT Enable (12249) to 230 degF.

What is the difference between 44894 and 44895? How does setting 44894 low and 44895 high not cancel each other out? I have spent no time messing with those tables so I am trying to understand how they interact with one another.

All I've been able to glean is 44895 affects spark retard during tip-out during the first couple tenths of a second, and 44895 affects spark retard from 0.5+ seconds after a tip-out event.
