    No prep tune

Looking for suggestions and the best area to pull power to make these heavy ass cars get outta the hole and beat 60ft I can on a no prep track and on radials.

Found 37844 labeled toqure limit per gear vs mph.... would changing these values down cause any issues??

Also was told to use the launch under spark and advance and give that negative numbers to pull timing there? But I'm not sure how that area works. Launch control?? Foot brake??
I don't use the launch control and haven't messed with that in the tune to find how it works. Any help?

The thing about the launch tables is once the ETC goes in to WOT they are ignored.

When the company I retired from bought it's 2015 Drag Pak car, when the "pro- Tuner" guy came to help us set it up, he showed us how to use the table, ... This was before Holley came out with the "DP terminator system. the the thing that took the longest to get right was the transition, between PT/WOT and Cold Launch, in the end we left the pedal WOT table high, some where in the 3.1-3.2 V to keep from sending the car in to WOT off the line. Both Temp and RPM axis we heavily changed.

Now I have two Dirt guys with NGC systems that I use Cold launch to help them off the line, and when we ran the 460CI G3 in my nephews truck we used it to help settle it down for the 1st 60 ft.

Never shoulda put a 90 in it. Not for that application.

A glide (with the right convertor obviously) and bias ply 10x more forgiving

Drag radial needs to dead hook and that is not gonna happen on no prep

I wanted to do a th400 but got talked outta that due to daily driving the car. Burnt up 3 built 70 before I cut my losses there. Can't run bias ply at no prep due to rules

Car hooks good on prep no issues there. Cut 1.30-1.40 60ft. Haven't been able to spray it yet due to still stock axels.

Can someone explain how the cold launch is activated? Does it aways use this when the car takes off? Like from a stop vs when actually launching at the track? Or only when using launch control??

Cold launch, and tc, are separate,

Cold launch is activated by temp and deactivated by mph/wot

When I use it, it’s a tune specifically written for track day,

I'd be willing to bet that the 8HP70 would have been just fine if your part throttle torque model was right. You probably damaged it "driving around nice" and only finished it off at WOT. Just sayin...

Anyhoo, You really want to soften the driver request torques at low vehicle speed to help launch on slick surfaces. You have ~16:1 torque multiplication available through the gears and convertor, which is way more wheel torque than you can plant. Soften the input request and watch it hook.

right? i mean there is already a tip in table (and who knows how many others that we do not know about?) so why this additional table? i think it is there to offset something as well

would love to see the purple ram 'track day' tune for that table. mines done at 2500 rpm. how does he figure wot deactivates it? if it did how could it be used for 'track day'?

track day is for my 1199R : )

for 5 bills should be able to write a map for throttle application

*contempt prior to investigation - what all can you make it do using just the two knobs?

funny how it says 'used to modify timing during cold start take offs' but the low rpm timing it throws at it is almost identical all the way up to 230 ect

I asked Ric(Purple Ram) to set up a launch deal for this truck, we went the opposite direction, Needed More timing at 1800ish RPMs, couldn't get the PT table dialed in to get our results and didn't want 22* at that spot while driving .... , that 22* of timing has to be coming from some where,. Sure is NOT mbt table, sure is NOT pt table, and it's sure as hell not on the WOT table.

Just saying.....that 22* degrees of Timing wasn't there when the Cold Launch table read all 0's
(Disable MPH is set at 12MPH)
