Im having issues. I think im just doing a poor job logging and need to adjust my zones but just wanted to make sure im using the tool correctly as well.
Correct. After running through your desired calc coefficients iterations in the tool, copy the final table into HPT vve editor. You'll need to calc coefficients in HPT one final time....redundant I know but the alternative it copying over 6 tables manually.
A standard approach will give you standard results.

Amazing content. 've learned a lot and about to tackle VVE tuning my LUV 1.4 upgraded cam VVE tuning. I've watched everything for the VVE assistant and setup all the Math parameters but for the life of me I can't find the how to to setup the graphs. Can someone point me in the right direction? Thanks

Setting the histograms up in scanner is relativity simple. You make the rows and columns to match the VVE table from the editor.

Here is a file from Cringer that has the math and the filtering (for his dynamic air method) layed out so you can copy and paste it.

NOTE: I know these work for V8 im not sure if the dynamic air math equations work for a 4 cylinder. I think there is another post about how to edit the equation so it will work. Just have to search around for that.
Formulas and Math for Tuning with Dynamic Air.txt

Back to the graph setup in the scanner. The Blue highlight is where you will enter the custom math channel you've created and the yellow is where you can paste and edit the filter equation. Hope that helps.

Thank you for the reply and the clarification. I was stuck on a couple things which you clarified with your screenshot, function and correct parameter as there are two Pressure Ratio and I had the wrong one. But I think I got the graphs I'll need to start tuning the VVE. I'm tuning DOHC and from my understanding I'll need to zero out the cams and that data with the VVE assistant tool the other Virtual VE Coefficients in VCM editor should calculate for the other cam angles. I know on page one there was some talk about DOHC VVE tuning so this should be fun. Screenshot 2024-11-07 162751.png

Correct you should use the tune file to "lock" the cams in place while logging VVE histogram data for each cam angle or combination of angles between intake and exhaust. Good Luck!
