It does though.. and it worked much better (for me anyway) than the software the trans controller comes with.

    It didn't brick it.

Hmmm I have a junk 2010+ valve body here and the correct hardware and software to flash it with the GM cal. Maybe I'll give it a try.
    Good info there.

And don't do it while trying to do a save or save as. Do it on a Windows File Explorer rename.

That file is set to read the speed from the ECM via CANBUS, which are how the newer versions are set up. I forgot that changed a while ago.
So, I think your issue has to be in the ECM programming like we suspected.

I've attached a stock LS3 Chevrolet Performance calibration for you to compare to, but Chevrolet Performance uses E67 modules and not the E38 you are most likely using.

Edit: I was mistaken. The TCM IS using a calculated wheel speed. The vehicle speed check box is the driveshaft RPM via CAN.
It calculates the wheel speed based on rear gear ration that is entered and the driveshaft RPM (which it is receiving via CANbus message). I see you have a gear ratio entered so I'm not sure why it isn't calculating, UNLESS the ECM is not sending the driveshaft speed signal via CAN message.

I can adjust your file to look for the vehicle speed from the ECM instead of calculating it, but I'm not sure if that will work either. Let me know if you want to try that and I'll modify your file and upload it.

OK, I'm getting the same error. Let me see if I can work around the GM software limitation.

It did allow me open and write file. Still same no speedo.
Guy from novak finally called back. Told me call GM performance. Thinks the controller only work for E67 & E92 controlers.

Hmmm, that shouldn't be the case since the E38 and E67 should be the same as far as the GMLAN messages go, but give GM a call. Them might not be able to help since you are not doing something in their norms.
