Fuel pressure readings

Im currently chasing a p0300 code that I get from time to time after driving a while and only under light/moderate acceleration. Ever since buying the truck I noticed from time to time you could hear the fuel pump "pulsing" and until now I assumed that was normal. Today I finally decided to hook up and run vcm scanner and see what is going on and noticed the fuel pressure jumps around quite a bit. Has anyone else seen this? At idle I can sometimes see fluctuations as low as the mid 20s.

I believe that truck will throw a 'fuel pump performance' code if it's not keeping up and it will show up under hard acceleration. I don't think that has anything to do with your random misfire code.
