Holden Colorado RG 2.8 Maf + boost tuning

OK so i have tuned a few Colorados and have all gone really well.

This Colorado I started tuning has an Airbox upgrade and the other ones i have done had the standard airbox.

Airbox has caused maf sensor issues and it will need to be calibrated.

There is no Pid to log the Maf correctly on this model to tune it correctly, is there a workaround for it?

Also i have upped the boost to around 280kpa in the tune but the map on this one peggs out at 255kpa, I am sure the others i have done have read over 300kpa.

Is it just an issue with the 2013 models?

    Any help would be great.

    Thanks Ash

    Hey Ash

I'm not a tuner, but have a 2014 Colorado and experienced related issues

This video is interesting re tune over what the MAP sensor can read - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IBY3IUJCrhQ&t=4s

Whilst I don't think the turbo goes into overspeed and destroys itself, if it can't see that it is achieving desired boost, I assume the ECU keeps pushing the turbo as hard as possible once the MAP maxes out, so your tune would probably produce over 280kpa if you tapped into the cold side of the intercooler pipe to manifold etc...

Might be worthwhile upgrading to a larger MAP sensor to be safe for the customer

but like I said I'm no tuner so might be talking out my arse

    Cheers
    James
