8.3 v10 srt truck swap advise

I?ve got a 1999 ram truck and a 8.3 out of a quad cab srt 10 ram. I?m trying to retain all the factory gauges, from what I remember from working on dodges as a tech from 99 to about 05, dodge changed the data communication bus system when the new body style ram came out in 02. The 99 gauges don?t have designated wires for the gauges. If I remember correctly the gauges pull that info from the data bus system. The 05 pcm won?t talk to the gauges so I need my 99 pcm to run the motor and trans. Is that possible?

No, there will be no signal for cylinders 9&10, you could use a 99 v10 computer to run the 8.3, not sure how well it’ll run

One would think if the firing order is the same and the tone wheels on both the crank and cam are the same the rest should be changing displacement, copying over injector data and copying over the fueling and timing over as close as possible. The big question is cam and crank. Unfortunately unlike gm stuff that information is not as easy to find.

The throws on the crank are not 90 deg from one another

I have a 1999 ecu and read it - I assume you did too and know how little you can change

Maybe if the v10 were manufactured by GMC but these guys obviously hate Mopar

If it were me I would build another dash. Autometer liquid filled or some shit

Let phrase it this way, the 8.3 will run on the 99 v10 ecu, it will not run on the 99 v8 ecu
